🥚 RANDOM MIX OF BLUE & NATURALLY SPECKLED EGGS

Your pack of 12 will contain a random mixture of blue and naturally speckled Coturnix quail hatching eggs.

The blue eggs come from carefully selected breeding groups that I am developing to produce new plumage colour varieties while retaining the blue-egg gene.

The males in these particular groups are expected to carry the blue-egg gene, but this has not been genetically confirmed. Because of this, I cannot guarantee that every chick hatched from a blue egg will produce blue-egg-laying offspring.

Based on the parentage and breeding lines involved, however, there is a high likelihood of producing hens that lay blue eggs from the blue eggs in this mix.

Genetics can vary, so some hens may go on to lay other egg colours.

I retain promising new-colour hens that lay blue eggs and breed them back to confirmed blue-gene males, gradually strengthening the blue-egg trait within these colour lines.

The naturally speckled eggs are from brown/speckled egg-laying lines.

In short: blue egg layers are highly likely from the blue eggs in this mix, but they are not guaranteed.

That's part of the fun of this hatch – seeing what combination of plumage colours, patterns and future egg coloursdevelops.

Important Hatching Information

These are fertile hatching eggs and not guaranteed chicks.

Hatch rates can be affected by factors outside our control once eggs leave us, including handling during transit, temperature changes, incubator accuracy, humidity, turning and other incubation conditions.

For this reason, while every care is taken to supply fresh hatching eggs from active breeding groups, a particular hatch rate cannot be guaranteed.

Posted hatching eggs should be allowed to settle appropriately before incubation, and a correctly calibrated incubator should always be used for the best chance of a successful hatch.
