Postal Transit & Handling

Incubator & Broody Hen Variables

Fertile hatching eggs are perishable living products that go out of date very quickly. Because embryonic viability decreases rapidly over time, we cannot accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances.

We pack every order securely in suitanble and tested packaging. However, hatch rates depend heavily on how gently the postman handles the parcel, as rough movement or shocks during transit can detach air cells.

Once received, successful hatches rely on external conditions: the exact temperature and humidity calibration of your incubator, or the consistency and attentiveness of the broody hen placed over the eggs.

Best Practice Upon Arrival

Always let postal eggs settle pointy-end down at room temperature for 24 hours before setting them into your incubator or under a broody hen.
